U16's Wāhine Canada Tour
The U16s Wāhine Canada Tour will give our young wāhine the chance to take their rugby, culture and mana onto the international stage. This kaupapa is about more than playing overseas — it is about building confidence, creating lifelong memories, strengthening whanaungatanga, and giving our rangatahi the opportunity to grow as players, leaders and proud Māori wāhine. Through rugby, travel and shared experiences, this tour will help shape them both on and off the field.
The Wider Rugby World
The U16s Wāhine Canada Tour will open the door for our young wāhine to experience rugby beyond their own backyard. Playing overseas will expose them to different styles, cultures, teams and environments, helping them understand the wider world of rugby and the opportunities that can come through hard work, courage and mana.
Development On and Off the Field
This tour is a powerful development experience for our rangatahi, helping them grow as players, leaders and young Māori wāhine. Through training, competition, travel and shared challenges, they will build confidence, resilience, whanaungatanga and memories that support their journey well beyond the rugby field.
