Our U16 rangatahi will travel through Italy, connect with history, challenge themselves through rugby, and walk in the footsteps of those who carried immense courage, sacrifice and mana. This tour is about more than the game — it is about identity, remembrance, development and carrying the kaupapa forward for future generations.

Our U16s will test themselves in a competitive tournament while travelling through towns connected to the 28th Māori Battalion. This tour brings rugby, history and whakapapa together, helping our rangatahi grow as players, leaders and proud carriers of the kaupapa.

Our rangatahi will experience the beauty of Italy, its people and its rich culture, while recognising the shared values of whānau, respect, connection and pride in heritage. This tour is also an opportunity to share our own Māori culture, carrying our kaupapa with mana and building genuine connections across the world.
